A holiday home with tradition
Hotel Maiensee has been welcoming tourists in St. Christoph since 1971. What started as a small B&B was gradually transformed into one of the best hotels in all of St. Christoph. Over the decades, the exclusive Alpine home Maiensee has become a 4-star hotel: A dining room was added in 1979, followed by a sauna, an à la carte restaurant, and a two-storey underground car park. In 1999, the hotel was extended by the second “Deluxe” hotel wing, and in 2000, the 250m2 wellness area was added. The lounge and buffet room were extended in 2007. Another new highlight is the Maiensee Burger Bar, which has enriched the hotel’s culinary offering since the 2021-2022 winter season.
Today, Hotel Maiensee represents a family business that delights guests with its warm and cosy yet luxurious atmosphere.
The (mountain) world in view
The idea behind the modern design of the 4-star hotel came from the young host: “When I returned from abroad, 1901 Lounge was the first thing I created. I love the mix-and-match style of new photos, furniture, and lamps in an old ambience with historic panelling. The glass front offers boundless views of the mountains. It feels like being outside, and yet you’re warm and cosy. The romantic candlelight completes the atmosphere.” Stephan Traxl knows that his guests long for premium relaxation: “We’re measured against the world’s greatest. Guests expect from us what they expect from the best hotels. We offer them what they’re looking for, and so much more.”
